Completed in 2018 and currently, the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity was made as a tribute to Sardar Vallabhai Patel, known as the ‘Ironman’ of India. He was instrumental in India’s independence struggle, and then for the integration of over 500 princely states into the Union of India. Entry is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm from Tuesday through Sunday, and remains closed on Mondays.

Things to do:

It is suggested to avoid weekends, as there are huge crowds. Entry tickets also include entry to the Valley of Flowers, laser shows, etc. that should not be missed.

Boating & Helicopter Ride:

You can book a 10-minute helicopter ride that will give you an aerial view of the statue, with tickets available on location for Rs. 2,900 per person. Also available is a 1-hour boat ride in the Narmada river for Rs. 290 per person. Tickets are available on location or can be booked in advance on the Statue of Unity tickets website.

Valley of Flowers:

A beautiful landscaped garden with the mighty Narmada river and the Statue of Unity in the background, it gives a glimpse of the local ecology.

Riverfront Cycling:

Visitors can cycle along the Narmada river, across the picturesque Sardar Sarovar Dam service road network, past mountains, rivers, forests, waterfalls and more.

Sardar Patel Zoological Park and Safari:

Spread over 550,000 square meters, the Sardar Patel Zoological Park and Safari is home to magnificent big cats including an Asiatic Lion, a Royal Bengal tiger and leopards.
